My Year 2013

Hey,
So long time since I’ve been on here but as we near the end of the year and the festive season is upon us it’s had me reflecting about my year 2013.
I have to say this year has been a challenge with many things but hasn’t stopped me enjoying myself.
I’ve met some amazing people along the way this year and have had a lot of support in everything i decided i wanted to do.
As you may know or have read on here during 2013 i was in a relationship and was planning a wedding, but unfortunately things didn’t go to plan and we ended up breaking up (long story short there) so after piecing things back together and getting my life back on track things only started to look up from there!
You may or may not know that throughout 2013 I was studying for a diploma and i am very happy to say i passed back in October, so my hard work really has paid off (thank god) 9 long months of no stop studying and working fulltime
I feel like this has been a massive achievement in 2013 as I’ve been out of education now for 6 years and wasn’t really looking to go back and learn something new but I’m very glad i did now.
In the last few months I’ve been focusing more on myself then other people, sometimes it’s good to put yourself first if you get what i mean.
In these few months I’ve learnt a lot about myself and my life style and feel I’ve become a much bigger person from it.
The most exciting thing to come out of these few months of focusing on myself is i found myself a new man. Who happens to be a soldier! Not really ever thought about dating a soldier before mainly because of the time they are away and the amount of responsibility they hold and how dedicated they are to their job! But I’m not finding it too bad.
Today is the start of 9 weeks apart that will really challenge us, but to be honest I’m looking forward to the challenge I’m tired of living in someone’s pocket and them being around me every 5 minutes an turning up at my work every day, it gets a bit boring i find i like little surprises and things like that from time to time! I'm finding I’m enjoying myself a lot more and i can be who i am and he accepts
that and we don’t need to always be doing things which i really like, I’m happy sat watching a DVD with a cuddle is my idea of a perfect night in.
So really this was just a post to sum up my 2013 and the challenges i have faced the joys I’ve had and to appreciate the amazing people I have around me
It's finally Christmas everyone, it’s time to put on the festive jumpers sit watching Christmas films and spend time with family (or at work in my case ha-ha)
Happy Christmas Everyone
Kirstie-x
